So many of us struggle daily, if not
hourly, to find our balance. Pushed and pulled by demands
and wants and needs, haunted by speculation or fear,
unable to shake a mood or take action - we long for
balance. We dream of resting at the hub of our life,
with the spokes of relationships and responsibilities
spinning smoothly around us.
Gratitude can help you find balance.
Even starting small, with a daily or weekly list of
the things you're most thankful for, can help you restore
calm and balance your energy and attention.
You may find that the things you're
most grateful for haven't been your priorities. You
may be reminded that simple is also grand.
This week I will make
a list
of the people and things I'm most grateful for, and
ask myself
whether my time and energy is in balance.
